11/01/2007 | Long Term Signing Ceremony between Qatar Steel Company and Cargill International S.A.
Qatar Steel and Cargill International S.A. signed long term ( From the year 2008 – 2017 ) Contract of Affreightment (COA) for transportation of Iron Ore Pellets from Brazilian & Swedish Ports to Mesaieed ( Qatar ) on 30th October 2007. The approximate tonnage would be 7.8 Million. This shall impart Qatar Steel stability in terms of freight cost for its basic raw material in such a volatile situation. Sh. Nasser Bin Hamad Al-Thani Director & G.M. , Saad Al-Mohannadi Division Manager, Saeed Mohammed Al-Roomi Public Relations Manager and Rajesh Purohit from Qatar Steel side . Mr. Cornelis Konan (Cargill International S.A.), Pino Silvetsri and Carlo Pierelli from the shipping brokerage firm M/s Banchero Costa , Italy were present.
