Qatar Steel participated as the Pearl Sponsor in the Qatar Career Fair 2009, which was held at the Doha Exhibition Center, Qatar, under the patronage of H. H. Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al Thani, the Heir Apparent, from 12 to 19 April. H. H. the Heir Apparent visited Qatar Steel’s pavilion and was received by H. E. Sheikh Nasser Bin Hamad Al Thani, Directors and General Manager as well as a number of divisional and departmental managers.

Qatar Steel’s presence was very active in the Fair being one of the most important fairs aiming at the provision of employment and training opportunities for the students of Qatar with a view to enhancing their abilities and skills to be more prepared for dealing with the challenges raised by national development efforts. On the last day of the Fair, H. E. Mr. Abdullah Bin Hamad Al Attiya, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Energy and Industry, visited Qatar Steel’s pavilion and was received by Mr. Saed Mohammed Al Roomi, Manager of Public Relations Department and a number of Qatar Steel senior staff. Visitors and job applicants expressed their appreciation of Qatar Steel’s pavilion for the smooth organization and the computer-enhanced applying system
